Halloween 2009

So I'm going to play catch-up and post a few of the parties I hosted this year. Actually, we had like a party a month in 2009 and it started with our wedding on May 29,2009 and didn't stop. We were married in an awesome barn on the Western Michigan Coast, I'll post those laters.

Heres some pictures from the festivites! The invitations were black crate boxes with a resin casted finger and a ribbon around the finger as a reminder. They were from Martha's line and I just added some touches to personalize it with more information.

Creepy Finger Invite to set the mood!!

Creepy but Trendy Buffet  Decor

Hot pink, blue and red skulls served on cake dishes. Perhaps some Bloodwine to go with the "naughty chilrens" eyeballs?  Yummy brains of a crazy witch? A photograph of some witchy relatives (however they were pictures  of cartoon witches some people I know would have sufficed). How about "good magic" potion to ward away evil spirits?

(Just added some painted skulls, cardboard haunted house I made in about 3 minuts from construction paper,  red netting, orange lights and hence the creppy BUT trendy dessert table).

(Had all the props around the house and bought the wine labels at Dollar Tree and made the other ones with my Xyron machine :)

(Brains made of cauliflower submerged in water, radish eyeballs, dollar store skulls painted pink with pink sparkle beads added to eyes and some fire red netting.)

(Bat Cave light fixture centerpiece was made with black construction paper that my hubby and just cut bat shapes from by freelance and then I hung them with fishing wire with more fifty cent netting! I then took the left over "bat paper" and created cave rocks and a haunted tree(not seen) and created a mini-scene for photo ops...lol ).

Every year I  geto to pick a different design for our pumpkins .
This year our golden boy Miller was the template of choice.
